The Breakthrough

"With great power comes great responsibility." — Uncle Ben (Spider-Man)

It’s a cliché because it’s true. Peter Parker had powers early on, but he used them to win wrestling matches and money. The Breakthrough didn't happen until he realized his gift was for the neighborhood, not himself.

I spent years using my skills for vanity and status. It felt hollow. My breakthrough came when I realized storytelling was a weapon of influence to help others. That shifted the genre of my life from a comedy to an epic.

Issue #14 is the day you stop asking "What can I get?" and start asking "Who can I help?"

Practical Tips to Stack Your Wins

  • The Responsibility Audit: Pick one skill you have. How can you use it today to help someone who can't pay you back?
  • Shift the KPI: Measure your day by what you gave, not what you got.
  • The Uncle Ben Note: Write "My talent is not for me" on a sticky note.

Daily Reflection

What superpower are you hoarding that you could use to serve the neighborhood?

Mantra for the Day

"I do not hoard my power. I steward it for the good of others."
